The dish is sour, spicy, and richly aromatic.Ambul Thiyal is made using firm chunks of tuna simmered in a dark, thick, tangy gravy.The fish is mixed with spices such as black pepper, turmeric, cinnamon, curry leaves, garlic, and sometimes pandan leaves, then slow-cooked until all moisture evaporates.Making it perfect as a side dish with rice, string hoppers, or even bread.
